Character-driven revenge drama with a clever twist.  A young white surfer from a racist, blue-collar beach town avenges the murder of his brother by a Hispanic gang member – only to discover he’s killed the wrong man.  Seeking redemption, he joins the Marines abroad, only to find himself captive by his own troubled past.  OPTIONED by Enderby Ent. Heist drama of a preteen armored-car robber.  An adolescent genius from a white-trash family becomes obsessed with the perfect crime, masterminds a plan to rob a Brinks truck, recruits a team of derelict teens and pulls it off…with dire results as they flee with a stolen fortune.

 

EVER AFTER, by Richard Rogers

Coming-of-age historical biopic of Alfred the Great, contender to the ninth-century English throne, who evolves from a timid youth into a great ruler during tumultuous times.  When Vikings invade England, young King Alfred must restore his people’s faith by learning to use his sword along with his compassion, in the end creating a new era.

 

SHATTERED, by Steve Grossheim

 

A young star ball player loses his career and dreams in a freak accident on the field at age nineteen.  Twenty years later, he has descended into drug and alcohol addiction, losing his family, job and home in the process.  Now clean and sober but on the street, he struggles to find a way to a better life.
